Location: While this role is remote, this role requires the candidate to be located in the PST or MST area.
About Frontline Wildfire Defense
Founded in 2017 by landscape ecologist and fire mitigation expert Harry Statter, Frontline developed the first fully integrated wildfire defense system to stop the leading cause of home loss in wildfires: ember-driven ignition. The system combines exterior sprinklers, full-coverage design, and connected software for remote monitoring and response, allowing homes to protect themselves long after families evacuate or infrastructure fails.
Proven effective during the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires, 96% of homes with Frontline systems survived. That success has earned top industry recognition, including Frontline being recognized as one of TIME’s Best Inventions 2025 in the Green Tech category and receiving the PCBC Gold Nugget Award for “Most Innovative Housing Concept” and the Best of IBS Award for “Best Home Technology.”

About This Opportunity
As Creative Director, you will help define how Frontline shows up in the world, leading creative vision and hands-on execution across brand, campaigns, product storytelling, and internal communications in a fast-moving startup environment. You will translate business, product, and growth strategy into clear, compelling creative platforms and narratives, balancing big-picture thinking with rolling up your sleeves to make the work. Partnering closely with Growth, Product, and Leadership, you will guide freelance and agency partners while personally contributing to key initiatives, maintaining a high bar for craft, consistency, and impact as Frontline continues to scale.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Strategy & Brand Leadership
  • Own and evolve Frontline’s creative vision, standards, and brand expression across all channels.
  • Translate business, product, and growth strategies into creative platforms, campaigns, and storytelling.
  • Ensure brand voice, visual identity, and narrative consistency across internal and external communications.
Creative Execution & Production
  • Execute and oversee creative work across digital, video, social, presentations, internal communications, and integrated campaigns.
  • Lead concept development, creative reviews, and quality control across all creative outputs.
  • Balance speed and quality in a fast-moving startup environment.
Collaboration & Growth Partnership
  • Partner closely with the Director of Growth Marketing to support mid- and lower-funnel initiatives within a full-funnel approach.
  • Support product storytelling, internal communications, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Product, Growth, and Leadership to align creative output with business priorities.
Agency & Freelance Management
  • Provide creative direction to external agencies while owning and producing internal campaigns.
  • Guide and manage freelance creative teams to support internal initiatives and surge needs.
  • Ensure external partners consistently meet Frontline’s creative standards and strategic goals.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8–12+ years of experience in creative roles with significant hands-on execution.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating concept development and execution across multiple formats.
  • Proven ability to move fluidly between strategic leadership and doing the work.
  • Experience partnering with agencies and managing freelance creative teams.
  • Clear point of view on creative effectiveness beyond aesthetics.
  • Strong collaboration skills and comfort working cross-functionally.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and fast-paced startup environments.
Nice-to-Have:
  • Experience in high-consideration, complex, or technical categories.
  • Background in climate tech, home services, construction, or mission-driven brands.
  • Experience building or evolving brand systems in growing organizations.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base salary: $150,000 – $190,000 DOE + Bonus + Equity
